Fibertite PVC Based Membranes

Fibertite4

Seaman Corporation has been manufacturing quality Fibertite roofing products for over 25 years. Even today, 99% of all Fibertite roofs are still performing. Available in a wide array of Energy Star rated colors, widths, and thicknesses, Fibertite will likely be the last roof you will ever have to install. Backed by warranties available up to 20 years, Fibertite will stand behind their product years after being installed.

Don’t overestimate the value of a warranty. With many manufacturers, it’s what’s not included in the warranty that you’re reading which many times are vague and non-descriptive. Many membranes won’t warranty against ponding water, hail, grease, or oil. Fibertite is so sure of their product, any ponding water, hail, grease, or oil that gets on their product, is no problem.

The confidence behind Fibertite’s membranes lies in their unique formulated blend. Conventional PVC roofing technology requires the use of low molecular weight liquid plastisol polymers applied to lightweight fabrics to create a flexible membrane. Over time, UV, heat and environmental contaminants draw the plastisol (plasticizer) to the surface of the membrane where it’s washed away and leaves the membrane susceptible to damage from thermal shock, hail impact and foot traffic. Fibertite roofing systems are engineered using an alternate technology whereby a flexible solid polymer, Ketone Ethylene Ester (KEE), otherwise known as Elvaloy by Dupont, is used as the foundation of their coatings chemistry. This coating technology is bonded to some of the heaviest polyester fabrics in the industry. The result is a high performance roofing membrane that remains flexible and retains its physical attributes over time.

Versico

Versico has a wide range of single –ply roofing systems to meet almost any building design. From Versico’s E.PD.M. line of Versigard roofing systems to heat weldable lines, Versiweld TPO and Versiflex PVC Roofing systems. Combine these systems with any of there accessories including there Extruded Poly Styrene (EPS) or Poly Iso Cyanurate (ISO) tapered insulation systems, and you have a system for guaranteed protection from the elements.

Versigard

The Versigard roofing systems incorporate either a 45 mil or 60 mil or non-reinforced EPDM membrane. Versico EPDM membranes have been field tested for decades with long term exposure to UV and Ozone resulting in little property damage. EPDM systems are economical to install, offer easy maintenance for owners and achieve Factory Mutual (FM) approvals and (UL) Underwriter’s Laboratories fire ratings. Benefits include long lasting, economical, and easy maintenance.

Versiweld

versiweld_pic The Versiweld Roofing systems incorporate 45-mil, 60-mil, 72-mil or 80-mil (TPO) Thermoplastic Polyolefin membrane.

Versico’s Versiweld membrane is comprised of three layers – a TPO polymer base; a strong, polyester-reinforced fabric center (scrim) and a tough thermoplastic polyolefin compounded top ply. Because top ply is the most vital membrane component for long-term weathering characteristics, Versico manufacturers its membranes with an industry leading “thicker” and “smoother” top ply over scrim. The smooth surface resists dirt pick-up and biological growth compared to other thermoplastic membranes. Benefits include Energy Star Compliant, 100% recyclable, contains no plasticizers or chlorine so it will not dry out or become brittle with age, highly chemical and contaminant resistant, and meets UL790 requirements for external fire Class A ratings. Warranties are available in 5 to 30 years.

Versiflex

versiflex_picThe Versiflex roofing systems incorporates 50-mil, 60-mil or 80 mil (PVC) Polyvinyl Chloride Membrane. Versico’s Versiflex membrane is comprised of three layers – a PVC polymer bottom ply, a strong polyester reinforced fabric center (scrim) and a tough thermoplastic PVC compounded top ply. Benefits include a complete “cool roof” system with high reflectivity ratings help reduce the amount of energy required to maintain cool building environments, nearly puncture resistant standing up to normal foor traffic as well as abuse common to a finished roof, highly chemical resistant, fire resistant, and wind resistant.
