What is it?

Duradek is a PVC based vinyl decking system. Available in a wide array of thicknesses from 45 mil. to 60 mil., widths from 54” to 72” and over 31 different colors, Duradek has many options to choose from specifically designed for your application. All Duradek membranes are reinforced for multi-directional strength and stability, and have a textured finish for slip-resistance. To increase performance, the vinyl makeup includes mildew inhibitors along with ultra-violet and heat stabilizers. It is also fire-retardant and resistant to most chemicals. Attractive patterns, colors and textures provide a contemporary new look, previously unavailable in the outdoor waterproof flooring market.

Why does it work?

The Duradek system of Deck waterproofing membranes offers many advantages over the more traditional liquid applied systems. Often entrance ways and walkways (on renovation work) cannot be closed off for even a day. For the commercial property owner or manager, lengthy shut downs can mean lost revenues and embarrassing inconvenience. What these means, is that once on the job site, there is no mixing, mess or smell, and most importantly, no guess work for the applicator. Once the substrate is prepared, the sheets are rolled out, glued down and mechanically fastened at the perimeters. The sheets are welded together with a hot air process for a completely waterproof membrane.

Even with heavy traffic and the most severe weather conditions, these membranes will outlast “painted on” surfaces by years. They will not peal, chip, delaminate or crack, even on high use walkways.

The posts are made of the even stronger 6005A-T6-1 alloy. Powder coating is an advanced method of applying a decorative and protective finish to a wide range of materials and products that are used by both industry and consumers. It is used on many metal items that are exposed to the weather. As a finish, it is the best way to ensure durability, weather resistance, and color retention.

Durarail’s Powder Coating facility meets the American Architectural Manufacturer (AAMA) performance requirements for the long term durability of organic coatings on Aluminum extrusions and panels used in high quality aluminum windows, doors, and railings.

The Durarail process is a four stage cabinet style (spray nozzle) alkaline system. Railing components are cleaned with an alkaline solution that is designed for cleansing the substrate of mixed metals, oils and contaminates prior to powder coating. An additional seal coat is then added to the Durarail powder coating process. This seal cost process is a chrome-free, non-phosphate liquid coating chemical used on Aluminum and Zinc alloys. A clear, nearly colorless chemical is applied and dried in place. This coating has excellent paint and bonding properties and adds under film protection.

The beauty is in the Simplicity

The genius in the Durarail system is in its simplicity. Everything snaps on or fits together with minimum on-site work and few exposed fasteners. All balusters, posts, and rails, are pre-welded at the factory to minimize the effects of un-attractive brackets and screws, promising you a beautiful finished product.
